Smith’s Castle at Cocumscussoc
Wickford, Rhode Island

Built about 1678, Smith’s Castle is one of the most historic structures in Rhode Island.  The work performed here was to delineate and then oversee a comprehensive structural restoration that would ultimately preserve and reinforce as much of the existing 17th and 18th century fabric as possible.  Upon completion, this project received a National Honor Award from the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
